Living Sisu is a sports empowerment platform founded by three professional athletes with a single mission: make sports and well-being truly accessible to everyone. Built around the Finnish concept of “sisu” (perseverance, courage, resilience), the platform removes financial and logistical barriers that athletes—especially young and amateur competitors—face every day.

Eugeniuses partnered with Living Sisu from the earliest product stage to design and build their flagship mobile application: a seamless, all-in-one hub that centralizes the AthleteCard membership benefits, exclusive partner deals, curated training resources, and organization-based community features.

The Challenge

Athletes today juggle dozens of scattered tools:

• Multiple apps and websites for discounts

• Manual tracking of memberships and promo codes

• Fragmented communication with teams, academies and associations

• Expensive or inaccessible training and mindset content

Living Sisu wanted one unified ecosystem that eliminates these pain points while scaling for rapid partner growth and future AI-driven personalization.

Our Solution – The Living Sisu App (iOS & Android)

A modern, high-performance native mobile application that brings everything together under the digital AthleteCard.

Living Sisu’s flagship app delivers a seamless all-in-one athlete experience: instant AthleteCard activation stored directly in Apple/Google Wallet, a powerful deals engine with hundreds of national and local partner offers redeemable via promo code, in-store QR/barcode scan or digital punch cards, a rich mindset and training resource hub with offline downloads, and the standout Connected Groups system that automatically surfaces team-, academy- and league-specific content in one place. 

Built on a future-proof modular Node.js + TypeScript backend on AWS, the platform is already prepared for upcoming AI personalization and real-time community features. The clean Nordic design — bold typography, high-contrast layouts, energetic orange accents, full dark/light mode and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility — earned consistent praise for feeling premium yet approachable.
